PHASE A
After Fajr, Imam Husayn (A.S.) organized his force—Zuhayr on the right, Habib on the left, Abbas (A.S.) with the standard. He reminded the enemy of his lineage and their letters; they would not listen. Hurr ibn Yazid al-Riyahi, trembling with conscience, rode to the Imam's camp begging forgiveness. Imam Husayn (A.S.) embraced him; Hurr became among the first martyred. Umar ibn Sa'd fired the first arrow, followed by a massive volley.
فجر کے بعد امام حسینؑ نے صف بندی کی—زہیر دائیں، حبیب بائیں، عباسؑ علمبردار۔ انہوں نے دشمن کو نسب اور خطوط یاد دلائے؛ کوئی نہ سنا۔ حر بن یزید ریاحی ضمیر کی وجہ سے کانپتے ہوئے معافی مانگنے آئے۔ امام حسینؑ نے انہیں گلے لگایا؛ حرؑ پہلے شہید ہوئے۔ عمر بن سعد نے پہلا تیر چلایا۔
PHASE B
Single combats followed. Habib ibn Muzahir, Zuhayr ibn Qayn, and John the freed slave of Abu Dharr fought with legendary valor despite thirst and overwhelming numbers. By midday all non-Hashimite companions had been martyred.
انفرادی مقابلے ہوئے۔ حبیب بن مظاہر، زہیر بن قین اور ابوذرؑ کے آزاد غلام جان نے پیاس اور بڑی تعداد کے باوجود بہادری سے لڑے۔ دوپہر تک غیر ہاشمی اصحاب شہید ہو چکے تھے۔
PHASE C
Abu Thumama reminded the Imam of Dhuhr. The enemy denied a ceasefire; they performed Salat al-Khawf. Saeed ibn Abdullah and Zuhayr shielded the Imam with their bodies against arrows, falling martyred as the prayer concluded.
ابوثمامہ نے ظہر کی یاد دلائی۔ دشمن نے وقفہ نہ دیا؛ صلوۃ الخوف ادا کی۔ سعید بن عبداللہ اور زہیر نے امامؑ کو تیروں سے ڈھال بن کر شہادت پائی۔
PHASE D
Ali al-Akbar (A.S.), resembling the Prophet in character, fought until cut down by enemy swords. Qasim ibn Hasan (A.S.), the young nephew, was struck down and trampled by cavalry.
علی اکبرؑ، جو سیرت میں نبیؐ سے مشابہ تھے، لڑے یہاں تک کہ تلواروں سے کاٹ دیے گئے۔ قاسم بن حسنؑ، نوجوان بھتیجے، گرے اور گھوڑوں نے روند دیا۔
PHASE E
Hearing thirsty children, Abbas (A.S.) charged the Euphrates guards, filled his water skin, and refused to drink while the Imam and children remained thirsty. Ambushed from palm groves, his arms were severed; an arrow pierced the water skin. A mace blow felled him. Imam Husayn (A.S.) cried: "Now my back is broken."
پیاسے بچوں کی آواز سن کر عباسؑ نے فرات کے محافظوں پر حملہ کیا، مشک بھرا مگر خود نہ پیا جب امامؑ اور بچے پیاسے تھے۔ کھجور کے درختوں سے گھات میں بازو کاٹے گئے؛ تیر مشک میں لگا۔ گرز سے گرے۔ امام حسینؑ نے فرمایا: "اب میری کمر ٹوٹ گئی۔"
PHASE F
Imam Husayn (A.S.) carried his six-month-old Ali al-Asghar (A.S.) pleading for water. Harmalah's three-pronged arrow pierced the infant's neck, pinning him to the Imam's arm. The Imam caught the blood and prayed for Allah's judgment.
امام حسینؑ نے چھ ماہ کے علی اصغرؑ کو پانی کے لیے اٹھایا۔ حرملہؑ کے تین شاخوں والے تیر نے بچے کی گردن میں لگے، امامؑ کی بازو سے چپکا دیے۔ امامؑ نے خون پکڑا اور اللہ کے فیصلے کی دعا کی۔
PHASE G
Alone and wounded, Imam Husayn (A.S.) fought with unimaginable ferocity until he fell in sajda, saying: "O Allah! I forebear and leave the accountability to You." Shimr ibn Dhil-Jawshan beheaded the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W.). The sky turned red; darkness fell over Karbala.
تنہا اور زخمی امام حسینؑ نے بے مثال جرأت سے لڑے یہاں تک کہ سجدے میں گرے: "اے اللہ! میں صبر کرتا ہوں اور حساب تجھ پر چھوڑتا ہوں۔" شمر بن ذی الجوشن نے رسول اللہؐ کے نواسے کی شہادت کی۔ آسمان سرخ ہوا؛ کربلا پر اندھیرا چھا گیا۔
