Imam Husayn (A.S.) arrived in Mecca on the night of Thursday, 3 Sha'ban 60 AH, reciting Quran 28:22. He resided at the house of Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib in the sanctuary of Allah, which provided temporary safety from Yazid's agents.
امام حسینؑ 3 شعبان 60 ہجری کی رات مکہ پہنچے، قرآن 28:22 پڑھتے ہوئے۔ وہ عباس بن عبدالمطلبؑ کے گھر میں رہے، جو اللہ کے حرم میں یزید کے ایجنٹوں سے عارضی پناہ فراہم کرتا تھا۔
As pilgrims flocked to Mecca, Imam Husayn (A.S.) clarified his stance against Yazid's tyrannical regime and taught the masses the true principles of Islam. His presence commanded immense respect throughout the Hijaz.
جب حاجی مکہ آنے لگے، امام حسینؑ نے یزید کے ظلم کے خلاف اپنا موقف واضح کیا اور عوام کو اسلام کے اصل اصول سکھائے۔ ان کی موجودگی نے حجاز میں بے پناہ احترام حاصل کیا۔
Thousands of letters poured into Mecca from Kufa—sometimes hundreds in a single day—pleading with Imam Husayn (A.S.) to come and lead them against the Umayyads, promising tens of thousands of supporters.
کوفہ سے ہزاروں خطوط مکہ پہنچے—کبھی ایک دن میں سینکڑوں—امام حسینؑ سے درخواست کرتے ہوئے کہ آئیں اور امویہ کے خلاف قیادت کریں، لاکھوں حمایت گزاروں کا وعدہ کرتے ہوئے۔
